THE ROLE

As Brokerage Operations Manager you will:

• Ensure all brokerage financial control and regulatory procedures are adhered to and documented
• Work closely with the Engineering team and the Design team to continuously improve and further automate our brokerage platform
• Process settlement functions and analyse settlement activity
• Maintain the stock record and perform reconciliations and investigate breaks as necessary
• Process income activities including cash dividends, return of capital, and any other income event
  
• Process corporate actions including stock splits, mergers, asset ID change, and any other corporate action
• Monitor and reconcile trade and transaction reporting in compliance with the latest regulatory requirements, eg MiFID II
• Process and monitor foreign exchange conversions and transfers
• Reconcile all functions within the entire Brokerage Operation including reconciling cash and securities in every account against assets at good control locations and banks to insure possession and control in accordance with regulatory requirements

• 5+ years working in a broker-dealer operation, ideally a UK retail stockbroker
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
• CISI Investment Operations Certificate, or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Strong understanding of brokerage operation functions and capital markets
• Self-starter with ability to work independently
• Good communication and analytical skills
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and adapt to a changing environment
