Works Closely with: Community Manager, Marketing Manager, Head of Mentoring, Head of Operations and Marketing and Administrative Assistant in London office.


Founded in 2012, Reload Greece is a London based educational charity, currently in its sixth year of operation. Through its programmes and activities, Reload Greece has educated over 4,000 people on entrepreneurship and has helped accelerate over 100 startups, 14 of which have raised a combined funding of more than £4M.


Following its past few years of rapid growth and having achieved significant operational and organizational milestones, the organisation is now looking to hire a new CEO who will be leading the next couple of years of Reload Greece’s strategic development.


As the face and heart of Reload Greece, this role provides an exciting opportunity for the right individual to play a critical role in the organisation’s expansion beyond the UK, in order to further scale the organisation’s activities and reach out to as many aspiring entrepreneurs, investors and prospective Reloaders as possible. It is also a unique opportunity to meet, build relations and influence a wide range of policy makers, thought leaders and company executives at senior level across countries, participate and talk in high profile events and head a dynamic organisation with a growing brand reputation.


As part of the role, the CEO will lead Reload Greece’s operations, marketing, communications, project management, business development and fundraising initiatives to deliver against the overall impact objectives and fundraising targets. Also important is the ability to cope with complex situations, effectively draw conclusions and propose well-structured and reasoned guidance, while reporting to the Reload Greece Board.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategy & Business Plan: Review and refine Reload Greece’s business plan in order to deliver against set objectives and targets.
  • Fundraising Strategy: Ability to build relationships with private donors, institutional and charitable investors while also building creative ideas around corporate sponsorship proposals. Experience in developing and managing membership programs would also be a plus.
  • Financial Management: Fully own Reload Greece’s P&L, while defining and managing the yearly and quarterly budgets.
  • Operational Management: Ensuring delivery of Reload Greece’s educational programmes against project delivery plans, making final program approvals, participating in event rehearsals and after event reviews.
  • Leadership & Management: An inspiring leadership figure with the ability to identify and clearly communicate needs and allocate tasks to meet targets. Responsible for hiring and managing Reload Greece’s full time and external staff while developing and implementing an effective approach to inspiring and engaging a large numbers of volunteers.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build relationships and develop long lasting partnerships with key players in the startup ecosystem
    (incubators, accelerators, universities, mentors, investors etc.) in Greece, the UK and abroad.
Desired skills and experience:
  • Interested in entrepreneurship and passion for startups, with a good understanding of the current entrepreneurial environment in Greece and the UK.
  • Extensive work experience in the area of strategy or consulting.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent. MBA preferred.
  • Financial management and budgeting knowledge.
  • Confident negotiator.
  • Experience in the non-for profit sector would be a plus.
  • Fluent in English and Greek.
