Overview of the role

This is a newly created role, working closely with the Head of Marketing and other members of the business to develop and maintain a multi-channel communication strategy.

As part of a small but growing team your role will be key in influencing how Garrison is perceived in the market, how our products can benefit potential clients, and how this impact is subsequently measured.

We are looking for someone creative and proactive who would like to take an active role in the development of our communications activity and is willing to get involved in a great variety of activities (with occasional exposure to exciting tasks outside of your remit).

As a rapidly growing and agile company there is plenty of room for personal development and you will receive the support you need to shape the role and evolve at Garrison, whilst helping Garrison continue to develop and evolve!

Key responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Head of Marketing to establish a clear communication strategy across multiple channels
  • Developing a content calendar, liaising with marketing and sales teams to understand how our product addresses the needs of our customers and prospects
  • Coordinating and executing the communication strategy
  • Coordinating and creating compelling content tailored to our different audiences, such as emails, social content, short blog posts, speaker proposals, story ideas/pitches, video scripts, industry award submissions…
  • Optimizing content for search engines (SEO) and lead generation
  • Working closely with the Sales Operations Analyst to establish tools and methods to measure impact of the communication outreach
  • Liaise with external parties and agencies (PR, social media etc.) to coordinate content generation and placement
  • Internal communication – drafting staff emails, internal newsletters and exploring and testing new ways of communicating across the team
  • Investor communication – supporting with investor newsletters, updates and events

You’ll be perfect if you have the following experience/skills

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build credibility for the brand.
  • Demonstrable communications experience essential, producing and coordinating engaging content (blog posts, Social media posts…)
  • Demonstrable experience of building and managing active and engaged networks/communities.
  • Highly organised, with demonstrable digital skills and awareness of digital trends.
  • Highly collaborative team player building excellent relationships with the internal team, management team, external stakeholders and third parties.

It would be super useful if you’ve covered the following

  • A genuine interest in the technology market.
  • Exposure to tech in a B2B commercial capacity.
  • Creative judgement and a good eye for design.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

And the following would be a massive bonus!

  • Knowledge of marketing and sales tools (Mailchimp, Hootsuite, CRM…)
  • Experience of internal comms
  • Experience at a fast-growing start up like Garrison.
