CRM Marketing Manager

We are looking for a Marketing Manager with extensive CRM experience who is ready to make the jump to an award-winning start-up and help us change the world. We have strong data and technology in place and want someone to help us maximise user retention and advocacy by managing and upgrading a range of smart CRM campaigns and on-going programmes. The role would work closely with the Consumer Brand & Acquisition Marketing Manager, as well as the Growth team. We are looking for someone with strong strategic and technical knowledge to help us maximise our CRM capabilities and who is passionate about behavioural marketing, user journeys, and multi-channel communication strategies. We are not looking to just increase open rates or click-thrus; we want to significantly grow our long-term engaged user base through meaningful engagement with what3words digital touchpoints.


  • Responsible for CRM campaign scoping (including email, paid social, direct, print), briefing, scheduling and project managing, working in collaboration with the Traffic, Creative, Growth & Acquisition teams (all in-house)
  • In collaboration with thewider marketing team, will set strategic plans and lead recommendations on how to improve campaign strategies and results, including audience segmentation & targeting, as well as creative optimisation
  • Oversee campaign build, ensuring assets, segments and tracking links are built & implemented correctly
  • Work closely with the Growth team to ensure clear Test & Learn agendas are set, tracked and reported against
  • Feed campaign performance insights back into subsequent campaigns, and share the knowledge with the broader marketing team
  • Ensure global and local compliance and customer preferences (including language) are adhered to
  • Develop and expand our online community of advocates and beta testing programme participants

About you:

You will have:

  • 7+ years experience
  • Excellent understanding of all media channels both on and offline
  • Impeccable spoken and written English
  • Calm under pressure
  • Strong project management skills and ability to maintain order despite many competing priorities and needs
  • Experience managing integrated campaigns, including email, social, DM, events, print, etc.; ideally you have worked on/with both B2B and B2C brands
  • Experience managing relationships with cross-department teams; ability to build strong, respected relationships that motivate all to deliver to the highest quality standard, on time and on budget
  • Experience developing strategic proposals and executing them
  • Ability to assimilate information quickly
  • Working knowledge of CRM software tools (e.g., WordPress, Facebook Ad Manager, HubSpot, etc.)
