At SimplyCook we have a vision that the whole world should be able to make restaurant quality meals at home. Our current goal is to get over one million people cooking better meals and we are well on our way. SimplyCook is a tech-enabled subscription ecommerce business shipping over 250,000 products a month to its customers all over the UK.

  • The company has tripled in size for the last 3 years with strong growth continuing into 2019.
  • We’re backed by leading investors Episode 1, Maxfield Capital & 500 startups, and a soon to be announced leading London-based investor.
  • The business is comfortably capable of turning a profit (although we are investing in further growth).

Our core product is a monthly subscription box containing flavour ingredients (sauces, spices, pastes) and recipes to help people cook new meals. We’re predominantly an online business but we have also recently launched in retail with Sainsbury’s - a part of the business we expect to grow quickly in 2019.

We have a very flat structure and working environment – where no idea is stupid but where information beats ideas, where working on the right thing is more important than working 90hr weeks and where everyone pulls together in growing the business. We’re looking for a pro-active, highly motivated individual to join the team to help us stick to our high standards in customer service.

Your day to day will include:

  • Customer success / customer service: answering customer queries via email and telephone to help them get the most out of the SimplyCook service.
  • Helping customers manage their memberships using our admin panel
  • Calling customers to drive customer development
  • Driving retention initiatives through customer communications
  • Assisting in responding to customer service and queries via social media channels

Key requirements:

Good communications skills

Ability to work in a team, learn fast and be pro-active

A positive attitude and a friendly nature

Good phone manner

English as your first language or 100% fluent / native ability

Non-essential requirements:

Able to work weekends

Experience dealing directly with customers
