Customer Service Intern (Paid, 6 Months)

full-time Feast It London

Feast It is changing the events industry by building an online booking platform connecting anybody to the country’s best street food style caterers. Our events range from small private parties to corporate events right up to festivals with 1.5 million attendants. Were creating the one-stop solution for finding the best event catering - whatever the event.

From Dirtyburger to Bao, Five Points to Patty & Bun, we work with over 400 of the most exciting food and drink producers in the country. Were just 18 months into our journey, and so far weve seen nothing but rapid growth. Our team is expanding, our office keeps growing, weve done our first major public festival, and we keep smashing all of our targets!

We work out of a lovely office just two minutes from Aldgate East station that boasts a free gym, a beer fridge, a roof terrace and generally speaking, not terrible people. Were a young and fun team, all passionate about food and excited about playing a part in building a disruptive food business.

We are looking for a friendly, food-loving customer intern to join us from January to June to help us fuel our rapid growth! We’ve been on an incredible journey in our first 18 months, providing great street food to thousands of happy customers, and we’re gearing up to grow even faster over the coming months and years.

To help make that happen, we need a brilliant individual to join our Events Team for an important part of the year. You’ll be the first point of contact for all of our party-planners (our customers) who need help turning their dream party into a reality. It will be your job to call each prospective customer soon after they submit an enquiry online to explain the benefits of booking with Feast It as well as gathering all the necessary requirements to bring that event to life. Once you have all the details for us to find the ideal vendor, youll then pass these deals to our Account Managers who will match that event with the perfect street food vendors.

Youll also be on the front-line of all our various inbound communication channels (phone, email, chatbox etc.), providing a responsive and attentive service across the board. Youll be in charge of making sure everyone receives the best service until theyre handed to an Account Manager.

These are typically really important events in the lives of our customers (weddings, birthdays etc.), so providing a exemplary service is part and parcel of what we do. You’ll be great at building a strong rapport with our customers. A fantastic phone manner and enthusiasm for our product is an absolute must!

You’ll be great at following processes, however a vital part of the role will be coming up with new ideas to improve the ways we work. The company is 18 months young, so there’s still a lot to improve, and you’ll be part of that evolution!

Youll be intelligent, nice, practical, and fun to work with. We dont care about which degree you got from which university. We care about your achievements, what makes you tick and how youre going to help take us to the next level. We only ever work with people we like, life’s too short not to! Most likely you’ll be highly organised and excited to hit ambitious targets.

Ultimately, we’re looking for someone who gets a thrill out of seeing their hard work translate into happy customers who are left delighted with the service and wanting to work with us again.
