Weengs is a startup offering a same day professional fulfillment solution to e-commerce clients. We collect each order from the place of business, create a custom box for every single item, lower shipping costs and offer peace of mind for deliveries all over the world. We offer the only e-commerce fulfillment solution made exclusively for small businesses.

The Role

What does it mean to be a Weengs Driver? You are first and foremost ready to take on the responsibility of being the companys ambassador every time you pickup a customer’s shipment. As the main touch point between the customer and the business you will be one of the most important pieces of the organisation. Your ability to build rapport with our customers and to make them feel like their products are being handled with the utmost care will allow the company to keep its customers satisfied. In parallel to this you will work safely and quickly to pickup items at each stop and demonstrate grit and determination to meet tight daily deadlines to keep the rest of the operation running smoothly. Other specific duties entail:

• Inspecting assigned pickup items and reporting missing items, quality concerns or any other issues
• Proactive communication with Fleet manager to suggest improvements or issues
• Maintaining a professional appearance both for yourself and the vehicle as defined by the company
• Loading items carefully and safely into the vehicle and unloading in the same manner at the Weengs warehouse

The Person

• Above all else a high level of integrity and honesty and customer oriented
• Hardworking, efficient and grit to make things happen
• Open minded and adaptable to frequent change in a startup
• Can take direction, work under tight deadlines and cope with high pressure
• Conducts themselves in a professional manner
• Ability to work in flexible shifts along the day (from 9am to 7-8pm)
• Ability to handle with extreme care different kind of items (up to 30kg)
• Fluent in English and have strong communication skills
• Experience in any of the following is preferred: courier, logistic, pick up, moving services, freight and furniture handling and transportation

Legality

• Must have the right to work in the UK
• Due to insurance requirements, candidates must be older than 24 years
• Have a minimum of two years driving experience in the UK
• Have a valid and clean UK drivers license with a minimum of two years driving experience
• Successfully passing a background check

• 40-hour/week contract, Monday-Friday with the occasional evening and Saturday
• Starting salary £17,500 per anum or £20,000 if joining with own vehicle (not applicable to car) and has Goods in Transit insurance
• Salary increase & bonus scheme based on performance
• Company lunch on Fridays & unlimited snacks
• Holiday pay & sick pay
• Maternity, paternity, shared parental leave entitlements
• Pension scheme: Weengs will be setting up it’s company scheme later in 2017 and all drivers will be enrolled into this and benefit from company contributions.
