full-time SimplyCook London

At SimplyCook we have a vision that the whole world should be able to make restaurant quality meals at home. Our current goal is to get over one million people cooking better meals and we are well on our way. SimplyCook is a tech-enabled subscription ecommerce business shipping over 250,000 products a month to its customers all over the UK. The company has tripled in size for the last 3 years with strong growth continuing into 2018. We’re backed by leading investors Episode 1, Maxfield Capital & 500 startups, and a soon to be announced leading London-based investor. The business is comfortably capable of turning a profit (although we are investing in further growth)

We have a very flat structure and working environment – where no idea is stupid but where information beats ideas, where working on the right thing is more important than working 90hr weeks and where everyone pulls together in growing the business. Our core product is a monthly subscription box containing flavour ingredients (sauces, spices, pastes) and recipes to help people cook new meals. This product is supported by i) our website, and ii) mobile apps on Android and iOS - using the latest React Native framework. We’re predominantly an online business but we have also recently launched in retail with Sainsbury’s - a part of the business we expect to grow quickly in 2019.

We’re currently looking for our first internal finance hire at an exciting stage in our growth story. This role will require someone to work flexible hours for 20 hours per week initially, although the company will expect this to be your only role, so would be perfect for someone returning to work that requires flexibility.
