What is the role? - As a member of our software experiences team you will work on our newest and exciting Partnership project…...Disney :0 For context our last partnership product won Time magazines “Toy Of The Year” award, entered us into the top 3 most innovative consumer electronics business in the world and became the second highest selling STEM toy of all time. The opportunity is huge and its a chance to build exciting experiences that inspire millions of children to code.

You will help engineer apps that will be used across iOS, Android, Windows, Linux and Mac. You will create puzzle and tutorial systems, finding even better ways to engage and educate children. Working with our team you will be building new tools on the cutting edge of STEAM education, interacting with custom made bluetooth devices and working with exciting partnerships.

• Javascript (as much vanilla JS as possible)
• Polymer
• Electron and Cordova
• HTML, CSS
• Various AWS tools
• Jenkins

Key team wins - This team was formed to create an app for our Harry Potter Coding Wand. We delivered a cross-platform app (using our new library) going out to over 200,000 users around the world. We see our work appear in Apple and Windows stores and be featured on huge TV shows and publications. Next, we’re taking the magic we’ve made and adapting it to mess and mix with music and sound, teach coding through science fiction and pass on our love for creative coding to an even bigger audience.

• 2+ years of relevant industry work.
• Strong vanilla JavaScript skills.
• Experience with at least one modern framework: React, Angular, Polymer etc.
• Good version control workflow, preferably using git.
• Confident working with command line tools.
• Ability to learn quickly and an inquisitive nature.
• A creative spark, you bring something extra to the projects you’re involved in.
• Great communication skills.

Nice to haves:

• Knowledge of AWS tools and infrastructure.
• Some experience with web components or Polymer.
• Youre comfortable with build systems like Jenkins.
• You have experience with a test framework.
• Experience with a mobile framework like Cordova, Ionic, or React Native; or with a desktop wrapper like Electron.
