Head of Sales

  • We are looking for a passionate and results-oriented leader to build out our global Sales team.
  • You will be responsible for determining our sales strategy and for developing high-performance teams to execute against this strategy
  • You lead by example by rolling up your sleeves and winning customers also yourself
  • Develop processes, tools, systems and metrics to scale your teams; your leadership will directly drive revenue against our annual sales targets. You report directly into the CEO
  • Coach and motivate your teams to exceed targets (financial, customer satisfaction, operational)
  • Build a super strong direct sales funnel to make MODIFI the global leader in Trade Finance for SMEs
  • Develop powerful indirect sales channels (such as b2b procurement platforms, freight carriers, logistics players) to create a powerful ecosystem for our customers and partners and drive incremental growth
  • Partner with cross functional teams across Product, Marketing, Finance, Legal and Risk to remove obstacles and close deals
  • Be the voice of the customer and engage with Product teams to drive product improvements
  • Help recruit, retain, develop and lead a world-class team with a performance- and peoYouple-driven culture
  • Be part of MODIFI’s senior management and shape the future of Digital Trade Finance

  • Extensive prior experience leading a metrics-driven sales organisation, preferably in a b2b environment
  • Background in high transaction volume SaaS/financial services a major benefit
  • Preferably experience building and scaling an international sales team
  • Passion for small and medium-sized businesses, international trade and development and how digital trade finance can create significant growth for such businesses
  • Ability to influence C-level executives as well as passionate owners of small and medium-sized businesses
  • Strong analytical capabilities and high comfort level running CRM reports and analyses
  • Proven ability to work with and influence cross-functional teams and departments
  • Critical thinking and strong decision-making abilities
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced and ever-changing dynamic environment
  • A BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Confidence to work in English. Knowledge of German is a plus
