HR & Admin Officer with PA duties (Part-Time)

Role

We are looking for a part-time (3 days a week) HR & Admin Officer to join our team and provide additional PA support to the CEO whilst supporting the activities of our Human Resources department.

The responsibilities will include processing employee data, updating databases, office and facilities management, extensive diary management. The PA duties will be on a temporary basis as the successful candidate will eventually be providing maternity cover to the current PA & Office Manager.

To be successful in this role, you should have solid organizational skills, be familiar with HR processes and HR as a function; and be flexible with a start-up mind-set. Any previous experience within a start-up or FinTech, would be advantageous. Ultimately, you will make sure all HR and Office operations run smoothly.

Interviews for this role will be conducted on the 8th and 9th of January 2019.

Responsibilities:

PA & Office Admin:

  • Act as the first point of contact between the CEO and internal/external clients
  • Screen and direct phone calls
  • Handle requests and queries appropriately
  • Manage diary and schedule meetings and appointments
  • Make travel arrangements
  • Order office supplies
  • Produce reports, presentations and briefs
  • Devise and maintain filing system
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality

  • HR

    • Maintaining physical and digital employee records
    • Update internal HR databases (HRIS, ATS and Benefit platforms)
    • Create and distribute guidelines and FAQ documents about company policies
    • Assist with Talent acquisition activities such as scheduling interviews
    • Prepare reports and presentations on HR-related metrics
    • Assist with internal training and onboarding activities
    • Respond to employees’ questions (for example, questions around benefits and company policies)



    Requirements:

    • 2-5 years previous work experience as an HR Administrator, HR Officer, Office Administrator, PA or another similar role
    • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
    • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
    • Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
    • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
    • Familiarity with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) is desirable
    • Basic knowledge of UK employment laws - any international employment law knowledge will be advantageous.
    • Good level of competency across the Microsoft office suite - word, excel, PowerPoint etc
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Good people skills
    • Friendly and approachable disposition
    • Knowledge and interest in the FinTech sector
    • Proactive with the ability to pivot and adapt to change as they occur
