The Role:

As Kano continues to grow, we’re looking for a bright, get things done, hands on and super organised full-time HR & Office Assistant to join our very friendly, creative team. and help us on our mission to demystify tech and deliver on our brand purpose of Anyone Can Make

Your time will be split between office and HR duties and you will work very closely with our HR Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who thrives in a fast paced creative environment, enjoys working with people and wants to make a difference. You will be the crucial heartbeat of the business, driving the culture and support for the team. Based in our brand new office in London HQ, this role is a critical addition to our fast growing, highly-international team.

Responsibilities:

Office Management

Office management/ (ordering of stationery, technology, food shop, owning the office budgets.)

Manage the internal activities, show & tell, weekly wins, start the week.

Ensuring the success of our Kano Explorers - our weekly coding club / testing workshop for young people at our office

Develop and manage office wellness initiatives

Coordinate company events and activities

Develop and administer appropriate health and safety policies

Recruitment & People

Support the HR Manager with all required administrative & practical duties

Answer day to day employee queries

Maintain the HR systems

Lead the Kano Corporate Social Responsibility program

Support hiring managers on recruitment, screen candidates and arrange interviews

Create offer letters, contracts and welcome packs for new starters

Track probation and support line managers

Assist on the on-boarding and off-boarding processes for all employees

Liaise with our US People Ops manager and be a go to for the US team

Be an ambassador for the Kano values and make sure that all employees are looked after

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience of general HR & Recruitment requirements related to in-house hiring.

Experience in a coordination or administrative function in a fast paced environment.

A “can do” attitude as well as being able to wear multiple hats

Effective time management skills, using initiative to prioritise workload and meet deadlines

Incredible attention to detail and organisational skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
