Who are we looking for

We’re looking for an extremely ambitious Commercial Lawyer to join our Business Operations team at Medopad. Reporting to the Head of Finance and Operations, you’ll be responsible for supporting our senior leadership team with a wide array of tasks whilst leading our legal initiatives. You’ll be in charge of reviewing company paperwork, drafting contracts and business documents (including strategic partnerships agreements, complex customer contracts, employment contracts, share option schemes etc), as well as continuously examining national and international law to identify any areas of conflict that might arise.

Responsibility areas

  • Be the owner of all things legal and contractual, including strategic partnership agreements, complex customer contracts, employment contracts, share option schemes, tax matters, office leases, etc.
  • Provide expert input into commercial negotiation and investment funding rounds
  • Develop company policy and position on legal issues
  • Research, anticipate and guard company against legal risks
  • Guide managers and ensure compliance with rules and regulations
  • Structure, draft and review reports and other legal documents
  • Represent company in legal proceedings where required
  • At least 4 years’ experience in a prestigious law firm
  • Proven background on corporate law (contract law, tax law, accounting, securities law,, intellectual property rights, licensing, zoning laws)
  • Excellent negotiation and communications skills
  • Administrative and managerial skills
  • Analytical ability and strong attention to detail
  • Current licence to practise law
  • BS degree in Law
  • Team player
  • Start-up experience preferred
  • Healthcare experience preferred but not required
