We are seeking a talented Engineering or Computer Science postgraduate to join our Business Intelligence team in Milan as Jr. Data Technology Analyst.

Our Jr. Data Technology Analysts play a key role within our Business Intelligence team, which is responsible for the development and management of The Level Group’s Data Warehouse, related ETL processes, and Business Intelligence platforms.

Our ideal candidate is a recent graduate with strong problem solving skills and passion for IT and new technologies who is seeking a dynamic, fast-paced environment in which to showcase and develop their skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Our Jr. Data Technology Analysts use technologies and tools (PostgreSQL, Pentaho Data Integration, SQL, Java) in order to:

• Lead system integration projects with TLG’s Data Warehouse
• Design, analyze, implement, and automate key factor reports for both internal and external stakeholders

• Develop and maintain automated and scheduled routines to facilitate data sharing between external systems and internal stakeholders
• Develop and maintain ETL routines
• Design, develop, and maintain database objects
• Develop SQL queries to support the company’s Business Analyst team with ad hoc data requests
• Design, develop, and automate Excel, HTML, and PDF reports for internal and external stakeholders

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science
• Passion for new technologies and enthusiasm for data
• Strong knowledge of Excel
• Understanding of relation database architecture and logic
• Understanding of object-oriented programmic language logic
• Practical knowledge of SQL, Java, and any other scripting language is a plus
• Ideally, previous experience in designing and/or maintaining large databases
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills
• Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Strong orientation to detail
• A collaborative mind-set and comfort working and communicating cross-functionally
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and when managing multiple workstreams simultaneously
• Up for a challenge and willing to put in extra effort in order to meet/exceed expectations
• Fluency in English; fluency in Italian strongly preferred
