And that’s where you come in. We’re looking for a Junior Marketing Manager to take our content, digital and event marketing to the next level. We’ll be kicking off our first Lab programme in January, so this is your chance to help shape our voice, our authority and our creativity in a noisy space so we really win this market.

There’s huge growth potentials with this role. We’re scaling super fast, and we’ll be looking for a candidate who’s keen to learn new skills, take on more responsibilities and work their way up. If you’re entrepreneurial and that sounds like you, come say hi.

This role will report directly to our Co-Founder and chief marketing bod, Tazz. Ideally we’d like you to start no later than the middle of October.


What you’ll do:

Social media

You’ll own our social media strategy, planning and managing the content calendar across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Confident in getting the right balance between proactive and reactive methods, you’ll love jumping in on conversations with people in the ecosystem, and know how to track what’s going on and when. You’ll also manage the content needs with our partners. We’d love to see you grow into managing special campaigns and paid advertising, too.

Content

You’ll be up for growing into our chief of all content, managing the creation and distribution across multiple channels. We’d love to see multimedia suggestions, and how we could improve on what we’ve done so far.

Day-to-day you’ll be brainstorming possible content work, writing up the very best pieces, whilst editing and posting all blog content on our website and Medium. You’ll also manage any updates to our website.

Events

You’ll be responsible for our social calendar, identifying the best tech events out there and building partnerships with their teams.

But you’ll also manage the process for our internal events, from operational needs, the end-to-end invitation process, and to getting your hands dirty in making sure the likes of our flagship Demo Day goes according to plan. We’ll be looking for someone to take initiative on what might be needed to see success, and crack on with creating just that.

Community

We’d also be looking for our Junior Marketing Manager to manage our CRM (Hubspot). You’ll be the first to write up an email template, know your way around newsletter creation and will keep our community updated when needed (think Lab mentors through to application updates).

You’ll also have the chance to work directly with our startups, managing their PR and growth updates, making sure our Startup Look Book is up-to-date and that you’re the first person to know their latest news.

BA in marketing, English, journalism (or similar) and/or 2-3 years marketing experience. We’re thinking digital and traditional, events, social media and content.

Startup experience – whether that’s in a previous company or something you’ve done personally, you can show the right mindset for this industry.

Confident in creating awesome online content, including website, email campaigns and social. You’ll know your way around managing an event process end-to-end, too.

Experience in digital marketing tools – we’ve got a few set in stone, but we’d love for you to come with suggestions. Hubspot, Tweetdeck, Buffer, CoSchedule, MailChimp… It doesn’t matter if you haven’t used them before, but are you willing to learn?

Entrepreneurial, startup-pro, hustler, agile; whatever word you want to use, you get this ecosystem and you are eager to know more.

Familiar with the tech space – you’ll be up for talking about the best startup events, tech publications and maybe even an influencer or two.

A problem solver, happy to get on with your work but also not afraid to ask questions, and someone who takes every single day as a chance to learn and grow. You’ll have lots of energy, love meeting new people and a positive outlook.

Potential extras

  • Design skills – Adobe suite, even better – but a dab hand at decks would be good.
  • SEO experience.

Remuneration will be between £28-32k, dependent on experience. However, sometimes the perfect person is far more or less experienced than we anticipated.
