As a Junior PM you will support BitPesa’s Product Managers with the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to implementation. You will be responsible for a diverse set of product responsibilities with the product team, including defining product requirements, writing user stories, gathering feedback from internal clients and creating user journeys. You will liaise cross-functionally to ideate and deliver tailored customer experiences while working closely with Design, and Engineering.

Key Responsibiliites

• Gathering requirements and writing user stories
• Participating in all of the agile sessions
• Gathering feedback and iterating on the products
• Reporting on the progress, challenges and learnings of BitPesa products

About You

• Strong problem solving skills and willingness to think outside the box
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You can effectively communicate across diverse backgrounds and contexts, and lead through influence while building relationships across the business
• Comfortable working closely with engineers
• Interest in learning about product development in Agile/Scrum delivery approach
• A passion for getting things done
• 1 - 2 years of experience as a PM
• Experience with Jira is an asset
• Experience with data analysis is preferred
• Experience with integrations through API is preferred
• Knowledgeable in blockchain/bitcoin/digital currencies or financial trading systems is preferred
• Bachelor degree in a relevant field with proven experience of project or product delivery
