OUR MISSION
At Ampify Music we make some of the most successful mobile music creation software in the world. Our mission is to help music makers around the world make amazing music, even will little musical knowledge. The role will be operating from our London start-up oriented office, located at Europes premier music Technology hub ‘Tileyard Studios’ (near Kings Cross, London). Your role will be to help us extend our growth, enabling a huge new global music making user base, whilst being part of a compact, focused team made of passionate music lovers.
THE ROLE
We are looking for a motivated QA Developer to join the Focusrite / Novation London team known as AMPIFY. Your focus is to help ensure our products meet high standards of Quality, Ease of Use, and Reliability expected by our customers. Working within a small, focused start-up team, you will be involved in designing quality into our products from the very start of the development process. You will help to devise approaches that facilitate low risk, great experience, and a range of tests. Of course, we’re a small relatively flat team, so we’ll need you to be adaptable to help with a wide range of other activities when needed, so developer skills are a benefit. We currently have scope for a Junior QA developer role.
YOUR TASKS

• A software developer approach
• Familiar with software testing techniques, scientifically minded, strong at problem solving
• Able to see the big picture, but with an eye for detail, a clear communicator
• Passionate and knowledgeable about audio and music making
• Create pragmatic tests, but focus on real-time
• Deliver easy to use software that remains full-featured and consistently enjoyable for customers
• Work together with Product Owners, Designers and Developers
• Ensure user focus helping to guide innovative solutions to new problems.
• The ability to draw on the broader design and music community to help shape the direction of products

YOUR PROFILE
● You have experience of both working in a QA/Test environment, ensuring quality for software, complex systems, iOS mobile devices, websites, mobile or other interfaces.
● You’re a person that can take complex requirements into account, has worked with personas and market insights.
● You can do hands-on work with developers, explain and defend your rationales, care about details and a happy team alike, challenge yourself and the team, do user research whenever needed and integrate feedback
● Have a good level of experience and understanding of design in software
● Software developer skills a benit
● Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred
