About the role:

We are looking for a talented Junior Software Engineer to join our growing tech team. You’ll be a fast learner and enjoy exploring and embracing the latest in cutting edge web and mobile technologies.

As part of our agile product team, you will help shape the future of our platform, while continuously improving the product features and capabilities.

Our current tech stack comprises of:

Back End: Microservices architecture, Django, Flask, Go, Scala, RESTful and GraphQL APIs, PostgresDB, Redis, Docker / Kubernetes, Jenkins, Prometheus, Grafana.

Front End: Angular and ReactJS (transitioning to latter), Redux; iOS app built in Swift, plan is to use React across web, iOS and Android.

Key responsibilities:

• Work with your agile squad to design, create and support new technical products and services
• Drive and contribute to growing the back-end architecture
• Contribute to developer tools, process improvements, and innovations for the tech team
• Contribute to our developer culture in a positive and commit to coding best practices

Ideally, youll have:

• Experience working with back-end and front-end technologies
• Experience with back-end architecture and system design
• Experience with planning and writing unit, integration, and behaviour tests
• Experience with microservices based architecture will be beneficial
• Experience working in agile environments
• A 2:1 or higher on a Computer Science or Maths degree is preferred but not required
