We are looking for a Key Account Manager to join our EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) sales team in either in Berlin, Germany or Turku, Finland. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to turn happy developers into happy customers in the community of 150,000 Vaadin developers. Your responsibilities would be to consult our customers and sell our commercial offering (both services and products) mostly in DACH area, so German language skills are a must. Our Key Account Managers focus on B2B sales and need to be able to talk fluently with a variety of customer roles ranging from CTOs to software architects and developers.
You will be reporting to Head of Service Sales, and working together with other Key Account Managers, consultants and sales representatives. You will be based at the Vaadin office in Berlin or in Vaadin headquarter in Turku, Finland.
This is what your typical day might look like:
It’s Monday and you actually enjoy coming to the office after the weekend. The day starts with our weekly buffet breakfast - you pick your plate full of your favorites and head to the lounge. You sit down at a table with some colleagues and start digging into your food while another colleague from Products is giving a presentation of the new product release we are doing later in the week.
After breakfast, you have your weekly meeting with your team to plan the activities of the week. Marketing has released an interesting technical white paper about how Vaadin compares with other technologies and you make a note to send it to one of your biggest accounts, as it’s exactly what they have been asking from you during the last couple of meetings.
After lunch you have a meeting with another customer that wishes to jointly plan a technology migration to the latest Vaadin version. You prepare for the meeting by checking with the R&D department about the possible migration strategies that can be applied and discuss them with the consultant that joins you in the call.
You get a bunch of action points from the meeting, which you input into CRM together with notes from the meeting. As agreed, you draft a first proposal for the migration work. After peer review, you send it to the customer with a promise to follow up after a few days.
Finally, when the day is done, you grab your floorball gear with you and head for the company floorball practice with other team mates.
