We do this by building intelligent technology to recruit, train and qualify a global community of academic talent, making effective one-to-one learning more accessible than ever before.

The company was founded in 2013 and is based in Aldgate. We’re currently a team of 40 in London and over 300 across India and Sri Lanka.

Our opportunity is global and our ambition is to be teaching hundreds of thousands of pupils across the world in the next few years. Our starting point has been transforming maths education in primary schools across the UK, and we’ve now moved into UK homes too...

The first month of a family’s experience with Matr is crucial, and your role will be to monitor and enhance this experience.

You will help ensure pupils get the most of their sessions by monitoring and improving attendance, gathering feedback from parents over the phone, ensuring bookings and payments are accurate in the system, and liaising with our network of excellent tutors. This will ultimately lead to success for our pupils and improved customer retention rates.

You will need to be a hard worker with fantastic attention to detail, who is comfortable speaking to people over the phone and email, have a passion for education and giving customers the best possible experience.

In return, you will be trained in all things Customer Success, how to use a variety of platforms, including Salesforce, and how to utilise data to drive improvements to customer experience. You’ll also have access to all departments in this exciting start up environment, accelerating your learning even further. We’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone with excellent attention to detail, who loves finding and solving problems. You will need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to adjust to a variety of stakeholders, including parents, tutors and colleagues. You’ll be both passionate about what we do and a friendly person who is able to relate well to people they’ve just met.

Essential:

  • Proactive and keen to take on responsibility
  • Superb attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and ability to build rapport both internally and with our customers
  • Some experience of using Excel / Sheets
