Job Description

The Risk Developer will be an integral part of Coinfloor’s 24/7, 365 days a year, Risk Team and help design, implement and monitor Coinfloor’s Risk systems in line with best practice. The cryptocurrency space is both exciting and fast moving so you will work to keep abreast of the latest developments in the space and ensure that Coinfloor’s platform is able to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow.

Coinfloor is based in the City and is a successful but still relatively young company. This is a chance to join when the technology is still open to significant change. It would suit a gifted technologist who is keen on taking ownership and making a substantial impact in a fast moving and creative Fintech startup environment whilst expanding, learning and applying the latest Risk Management methodologies from his or her colleagues in the Risk Management team. This role will sit within the Risk Management department working directly with the Risk team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement Java based Risk GUI’s and Dashboards
• Join and contribute to development of our continuous improvement process
• Support Coinfloor’s Risk systems and be fully capable of resolving / fixing any issues
• Assist members of the Risk team in the delivery of their projects through team work on architectural, design, coding and testing best practice
• Key member of the Risk Team, which is a 24/7, 365 days a year function and will need to be comfortable working nights and weekend on call shifts on a regular rotational basis.
• Learn key Risk skills.

Technical Skills

• Strong Java GUI Developer (JavaFx/Swing)
• Javascript, CSS, HTML (desirable)
• Enthusiasm about working in an agile and collaborative environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree
• Strong background and work experience in the Finance, Algorithmic Trading, Financial Computing, Fintech or Cryptocurrency space preferred but not essential
• Fintech or other related experience desirable but interest in learning more about Cryptocurrency and Bitcoin essential

Compensation: £TBC PA commensurate with experience.
