About the role...

We are looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our growing tech team - ideally with experience in microservices and python web development. You’ll be a fast learner and enjoy exploring and embracing the latest in cutting edge web and mobile technologies.

As part of our agile product team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our platform, while continuously improving the product features and capabilities.

Our current tech stack comprises of:

Back End: Microservices architecture, Django, Flask, Go, Scala, RESTful and GraphQL APIs, PostgresDB, Redis, Docker / Kubernetes, Jenkins, Prometheus, Grafana.

Front End: Angular but mid-transition to ReactJS, Redux; iOS app built in Swift, plan is to use React across web, iOS and Android.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with your agile squad to design, create and support new technical products and services
  • Drive and contribute to growing the back-end architecture to the next stage
  • Contribute to developer tools, process improvements, and innovations for the tech team
  • Work alongside Lead Software Engineer and CTO to mentor and coach junior engineers

Ideally, youll have...

  • A Computer Science, Maths or Physics graduate with a 2:1 or higher
  • Experience working with back-end technologies
  • Experience with back-end architecture and system design
  • Experience with planning and writing unit, integration, and behaviour tests
  • Experience with microservices based architecture will be beneficial
