This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing start-up changing the face of the care industry; which is valued at over £25bn. We are looking for a QA Tester Intern to execute both manual and automated tests. You will ensure product quality of across web platforms and smartphone applications (iOS and Android).

Please notice this is a paid internship. Rate: £300 per week (£60 a day pro-rata)

We are building a technology platform with which we hope to revolutionise the care industry. Vida aims to provide a holistic circle of care connecting all stakeholders; enhancing the quality of care by empowering our clients, their next-of-kin and our carers. We also focus heavily on our carers, investing in up-skilling them and ensuring they get remunerated well – this directly transfers into the quality of care our clients receive.

Our platform

In order to deliver end-to-end care we are building a suite of tools to schedule, manage & monitor our care visits. This includes mobile apps for clients, their next-of-kin and our carers and a back office system for our operators.

Our process

We represent our work on a Kanban board in ZenHub and focus on having a good degree of contact between the development & design teams to ensure everyone is clear on whats being built. Testing is important to us and we cover feature happy paths with integration tests, use unit tests for other components and aim for test value over % coverage.

You

You should be available to work onsite in our offices near Old Street, London. We are looking for self-starters who enjoy collaborating to achieve our common goals.

Responsibilities:

• IT support (Devices inventory, Workstation setup, windows/mac OS installation, Troubleshooting)
• Helpdesk activities on our Digital Care software platform
• Assist with Tech team internal recruitment activities
• Provide support to the QA team with software manual testing
• Manage relations with Recruitment agencies
• Assist the CTO with the day-to-day activities

Bonus if you have:

• Work experience in an AGILE environment
• Programming experience

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience).
• 6 months+ of experience in a similar role
• Keen attention to detail, Strong organisational skills, demonstrated ability to track multiple test executions simultaneously and synthesise results.
• A passion for the start-up scene and willingness to learn and grow

• Possibility of progressing to a full-time role based on performance.
