The Role...

We are looking for someone to join us in leading U.K. Operations for Soho Works. The U.K. Operations Director will be in charge of supervising all on-site operations for multiple Soho Works’ locations, increasing efficiency, delighting our customers and keeping our operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

Build a team of motivated, engaged, inspired team members who work to connect with our members and bring our mission to life

Work cross-functionally to cultivate a meaningful experience for our members where individuals and businesses collaborate and support one another

Assist the Managing Director with oversight of digital technology projects and technical infrastructure development

Oversee and manage a portfolio of the business; achieve key financial, experiential, and developmental targets in a fast-past, high growth environment

Duties and responsibilities will be spread across developing and growing a team, focusing on members and the Community experience, and owning and driving the business.

Set expectations for the team and support their growth and development

Responsible for hiring, performance management and future growth of team members

Own and drive the experience we’re offering our members

Take responsibility for key metrics related to member happiness and satisfaction and adjust strategy accordingly to consistently delight our members

Build and grow the Soho Works brand through events, communications efforts, and brand awareness in partnership with internal stakeholders

Act as point of escalation for regional concerns and challenges

Work with other members of the management team to determine best practices and key efficiencies in process and ways of working

Ensure that buildings reflect our high standards of operations and processes are running smoothly

Manage your portfolios P&L, particularly in relation to membership growth, occupancy, revenue, margins

Spearhead the roll-out of strategic projects and initiatives


Requirements:

BA / BS or equivalent in Business, Hospitality, or other related degree

MBA preferred

Minimum 6+ years experience in coworking, hospitality management, regional retail management, startups, or related industries with strong operational and people-management focus

Core alignment with the company mission and values

Excellent leadership, organizational management, and delegation skills

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written

Experience managing and being held accountable to a P&L required

Managed organization of 20+ people

Experience scaling and hiring in a fast-paced environment

Experience managing business growth and has proven record of consistently meeting KPIs over a period of time

Entrepreneurial experience is a plus

Demonstrate integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, strong work ethic, kindness, and high emotional intelligence

Ability to think critically and analytically to drive strategic change and improvements

Passion for and interest in developing those around you all while holding standards to the highest possible level

Ability to manage conflict and problem-solve creatively

High interest in building a business and understanding of entrepreneurial environments
