We’re hiring a UX Designer.

As the UX Designer, you’ll be joining as a UX specialist within a multidisciplinary product team as (mobile & web developers, data scientists, UI designers and internal stakeholders).

There will be several elements to an evolving role; initially, you’ll be working on creating & improving the user journeys for existing parts of the product across web and mobile. You’ll be creating UX wireframes in collaboration with the developers and UI designers, so your opinion & knowledge will have a big impact on the platform.

As the product suite evolves, and the business grows, you’ll have the opportunity to focus more on user research; gathering information and projecting roadmaps for the information architecture for an iterative product evolution plan.

Experience we’re seeking…

• Significant commercial experience as a User Experience designer
• Excellent skills with modern UX design tools (Sketch, Adobe CS, etc)
• Good knowledge of UX wireframing tech (Balsamiq, Axure, etc)
• Previous experience from a product company or product development agency
• Passion for taking complicated business goals and translating into the simplest of forms
• Breadth of demonstrable projects across both web & mobile
• Excellent communicator for sharing ideas & knowledge with colleagues
• A natural problem solver; thriving in continuous new challenges & innovation

Eyebrow raising skills…

• An interest in tech startups
• Understanding or practical experience of information architecture
• Interest or experience in user experience researching
• An interest in UI design for collaborating with UI designers
• Any basic knowledge of web or mobile development is beneficial for collaborating with developers
• Early adopter into new apps or tech
• Any interest or awareness of the FinTech market is beneficial

Holidays

Standard holidays + all bank holidays + office closed between Christmas & New Years Eve

Package

The salary package includes a contributory pension to match up to 5% of the salary, and Bud will also pay for a Gym membership for the local gym.

Equipment

You’ll be given a budget for a brand new MacBook (or similar), and/or computer accessories so you’ll have the best tools for the job.

Hours & flexibility

Standard hours are 9:30 am to 6 pm, however as part of our high-performance team, youll benefit from the flexibility to manage your own day to optimise the way you work to be at your best.

Social

We’re big on keeping Bud a social team, so Christmas and Summer parties can be a big deal. We’ll also organise sports events, music gigs and after-work meet-ups.

Office

Bud’s new office is a newly renovated space, specifically designed to our needs. Cool interior, breakout spaces, professional meeting rooms, brand new kitchen and a shower room for our part-time athletes.
