We’re looking for a brilliant UX copywriter to help us build Cleo, our AI personality that helps customers manage their money

You’ll work across the company to research, design and spec the AI product, writing in a way that makes Cleo impactful, easy to use, and fun. You’ll bring a distinctly American voice to our AI for our growing US audience - 400,000 customers and counting. We are still at the start of Cleo’s journey, and this role will be one of just two copywriters in our growing team, with significant opportunity to drive what our product becomes.

What you’ll work on:

● Developing a smart, wry, and funny Product voice for Cleo that speaks authentically to our rapidly growing base of American users.

● Developing user research and feedback into Product voice and UX

● Working with the product and development team on designing and spec’ing features

● Creating conversational flows and UX designs that enable Cleo to help customers manage their money, within both a native app and Facebook Messenger.

● Driving a step change in how people interact with their money

You;

● Have a writing portfolio you’re proud of

● Communicate clearly, with the kind of wry wit we’re looking for, in your writing

● Have written in digital-forward environments e.g., publications like Buzzfeed, or can share examples of this kind of writing from student/personal publications

● Are not averse to memes, read the subtext of emojis, and arent turned off by this sentence

● Are excited by what were building at Cleo; you are product-focused and care about making our users’ lives better.

Advantageous, but not essential;

● Consumer brand experience

● An understanding of what the hell UX/UI is / previous experience in creating an AI voice
