TokenCard is a London-based cutting-edge FinTech start-up that is shaping the future of finance by building a decentralised payment and transaction solutions platform on the Ethereum blockchain. As the cryptocurrency market continues to grow, there is a demand to provide products and services to benefit its expanding user base. The initial product is the TokenCard prepaid card loaded real time by the liquidation of crypto assets.

You will have a deep understanding of accounting and some experience in building/ managing a small team. It is desirable that you have some exposure to reconciliations processes within the FinTech industry - previous credit or debit card reconciliation process being especially advantageous. It is essential that you have knowledge of Cryptocurrencies, plus the ability to build effective and influential relationships and a solid grounding across a range of accountancy disciplines. In addition, a personable, dynamic and energetic personality is crucial, in line with the entrepreneurial spirit of the management team and the organisation.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a manual reconciliation process to cover all card transactions generated by debit card activity across the business
• This will include reconciliations between card transactions in both ETH and fiat, card charges made to customers compared to received from the card issuer and all FX activities
• In conjunction with the engineering function, devise an automated reconciliation process for all reconciliation areas so that eventually it produce a list of exceptions and only those will require further work
• Assist in other areas of the finance function - ranging from purchase ledger reconciliation to capitalisation of engineering time costs. This will be especially necessary during the annual audit - performed by external auditors

• Qualified accountant with financial services experience preferred – either straight from practice or from a similar role in a FinTech
• Strong control orientation
• Good working knowledge of accounting systems, Microsoft products and other data manipulation tools
• Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision-making
